Boulder "Nut" Opal, Australia

One would almost say from the drawing that it is wood opal from Banten, but it is not. It is a Boulder Opal from Australia. The parent rock contains iron, which gives the stone a rust-brown color that contrasts beautifully with the blue-green opalescent. It's untreated, only partially polished, high quality natural opal.
