Where it comes from?
Indonesia is full of volcanos. When the lava swallows a tree the organic matter gets replaced with a quartz. In this case it's a jasper which is a type or quartz with a very tiny crystals. What happens next? Well, the fossil gets dig up, carved an polish by skilled Indonesian craftsmen.

The Merkabah is well polished so it does not need any special treatment.

About Merkabah
The Merkabah is composed of three parts: Mer = light, Ka = spirit, Ba = body. We see here two opposing fields of energy (light). These fields are tetrahedrons. The pyramid facing up connects us to the divine universal energy (cosmic plan) and provides YANG (masculine) energy. The pyramid facing down connects us to the earth plan and represents the principle of YIN (feminine) energy.
